About this site

How we choose travel tools

Practical use, honest limits, no paid placement. This page explains how recommendations are made and what this site does not do.

What drives recommendations
Practical fit for the traveller's actual situation — trip length, data use, starting country.
Transparency of plan terms — data limits, fair use policy, hotspot restrictions clearly stated.
Setup process — can it be done before departure without friction.
Known limits — what the product does not do, when to avoid it.
Regulatory context — restrictions that affect usability at the destination (e.g. Turkey BTK rule).
What this site does not do
No paid placement — providers cannot pay to be recommended or ranked higher.
No recommendation of an eSIM when roaming is clearly sufficient — the roaming guide says this explicitly.
No invented prices — all prices are marked as requiring verification before purchase.
No omission of known limits — fair use policies, hotspot caps, and country restrictions are stated.
No European-only framing — English pages are written for travellers from any country, not only Europe.
Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not determine which providers are covered or how they are assessed. Limits and mistakes to avoid are stated regardless of whether a provider has an affiliate programme.

Prices and plan availability change. All prices on this site are indicative and require verification on the provider's website before purchase.

Origin-neutral editorial policy

English pages on this site are written for travellers coming from any country — not only Europe. Roaming rules, carrier examples and starting-point guidance include travellers from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. EU roaming regulations are mentioned only where relevant for a specific traveller, not as the default frame for all content.

How content is kept current
Each page carries a "Last checked" date.
Regulatory changes (such as the Turkey BTK eSIM restriction of July 2025) are added as priority updates.
Prices are not presented as definitive — readers are directed to verify with providers before purchase.
