eSIM destination guide

Best eSIM for Indonesia and Bali

Indonesia is a popular destination for longer stays, remote work and island-hopping. A travel eSIM installed before arrival avoids airport SIM queues and provides the same network coverage as local SIM cards.

Field tip — remote islands have limited coverage

Coverage on Bali is strong in tourist areas (Seminyak, Ubud, Canggu, Kuta). On smaller islands like Lombok, Nusa Penida, and Flores, signal becomes patchy in non-tourist and rural areas. This is true regardless of which eSIM provider you use — they all connect to the same underlying networks. Download offline maps and key information before leaving Bali for smaller islands.
